ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:
A 22-year-old male ASU student reported his stereo and speakers stolen Tuesday evening at Lot 59 North.
The student said he rolled up his windows, locked his doors to his Ford F-150 truck and walked to class, police reported.
When he came back the driver's door was reportedly open and his Pioneer stereo and Alpine 6x9-inch speakers were missing.
He did not have a car alarm and no fingerprints could be retrieved, police reported.
There are no suspects or leads at this time.
An 18-year-old male ASU student reported his stereo and speakers stolen Tuesday afternoon at Lot 59 North.
The student parked and locked his pickup truck and went to class at about noon, police reported.
He returned at 5 p.m. and reportedly found his stereo, amplifier and subwoofer speakers missing.
Stereo wires reportedly hung out of the dashboard and appeared to be cut.
He did not have a car alarm and fingerprints could not be gathered.
An 18-year-old male ASU student reported his clothes stolen Tuesday evening at Palo Verde Main residence hall.
He reportedly left his clothing in a residence hall dryer at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. They were missing upon his return at 1 a.m.
His cargo shorts, Hollister shirt and belt were missing, police reported.
There are no suspects or leads.
Tempe police reported the
following incidents Wednesday:
A 19-year-old Scottsdale man was arrested Wednesday morning on the corner of 18th Street and Beck Avenue on charges of theft of means of transportation.
The man alleged the car he was driving was not stolen.
He claimed he bought the car last week from a person he doesn't know for $400 cash, police reported.
He allegedly did not have a receipt or vehicle paperwork as proof he purchased the car.
The car was originally stolen Aug. 20 in Mesa, police reported.
