ASU police reported the following incidents Friday:
A male ASU student reported a bike stolen Thursday afternoon at Palo Verde East.
The student locked his father's bike, valued at about $900, to a bike rack at Palo Verde East on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m., the police report stated.
When he returned at 1:30 p.m. the next day, it was missing, police said.
The student reportedly locked the bike with a cable lock.
A 17-year-old male ASU student was arrested Thursday evening on the 1000 block of South McAllister Avenue on charges of possessing a false driver's license.
Police said they received a call reporting that two men were standing next to bicycle racks at Hassayampa Academic Village holding tools and talking about stealing bicycles.
Ten minutes later, police stopped two men matching the description of the males at Hassayampa, police reported.
Both men were carrying car jacks and lug wrenches and said they were assisting a friend change a tire, police reported.
The 17-year-old student possessed a false driver's license stating he was 21 years old, according to the police report.
When asked why he had the false driver's license, he reportedly said, "So I can buy beer, basically."
Tempe police reported the following incidents Friday:
A 27-year-old Tempe man was arrested Thursday afternoon on the 1100 block of West Baseline Road on charges of false reporting to law enforcement.
On Sept. 10, the man reported his car stolen, police said.
On Sept. 14, after police found the car, the man reportedly told police he actually let a friend of a friend borrow it.
He was transported and booked into Tempe City Jail.
A 21-year-old male ASU student was arrested Wednesday afternoon on the 900 block of North College Avenue on charges of forgery, theft of a credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card.
On Aug. 17 the student allegedly purchased $710.22 of furniture at Furniture For All, 1325 W. Elliot Road, using someone else's credit-card number, the police report stated.
He signed the victim's name on the credit-card receipt, police reported.
