How upset were you that there was no Sunday Night Football this weekend?
Unbelievably, the reason for NBC not broadcasting an evening football game this week was because the World Series was being shown at the same time on another network.
I ask you, why the heck is the NFL afraid to compete with Major League Baseball? Isn't it obvious to America's Most Watched Network that the most watched sport in America by far, far, far is football?
Baseball is like several other things in life - you use it during the summer when nothing else is going on and then dump it for something better. For me, like many other Americans, baseball season has always ended when football starts.
I'd be willing to bet if NBC aired Sunday Night Football as usual, it would have trounced baseball in the ratings - World Series or not.
