ASU police reported the following incidents Friday:

A 47-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Thursday evening near the ASU Campus Children's Center on charges of disorderly conduct.

The man was reportedly screaming and waving his hands around and drinking out of a container in a brown paper sack in a parking lot, next to the children's center.

He was about 30 feet from the main entrance of the center, police reported.

He allegedly said he was recently released from the hospital with stitches in his foot.

He took off his left shoe and threw it at the officer despite the officer's request to stop, police reported.

Police reportedly asked where his identification was, but told him not to reach for it on his own.

He said he could "reach wherever he wanted to" and lifted his pant leg, police reported.

The officer put the man in a hold and the man said, "You are f------ with the wrong person. I am going to kill you," according to the report.

Another officer reportedly took out his Taser to provide the first officer cover, but did not use it.

The man allegedly relaxed and was handcuffed.

The officer placed his hands on the man's shoulders and pressed him down so he was sitting on the ground, police reported.

His foot reportedly was bleeding, and it was not clear if the bleeding was an injury during the struggle or because the stitches were undone.

Paramedics from Tempe St. Luke's Hospital arrived to provide medical treatment on his foot.

Prior to the transport to the hospital, he was arrested for disorderly conduct, police reported.

A 32-year-old Mesa man was arrested Thursday morning at Hayden Library in connection with an outstanding warrant in Mesa.

The man was allegedly lying down on a bench in the courtyard entrance to Hayden Library.

When asked by officers why he was at the library, the man began yelling at them, police reported.

He reportedly said he dropped off his girlfriend at a residence hall and needed a place to relax and then continued to yell at the officers.

An outstanding misdemeanor warrant in Mesa was found through a records check, and Mesa police arrived to take him to the Mesa Police Department, police reported.

Tempe police reports were not available Friday.
