From the start of the season, the ASU football team has gone out of its way to remove any and all video clips of Sam Keller from pregame pageantry at Sun Devil Stadium.

You remember Keller, the super-talented former Sun Devil quarterback who had his starting duties removed in August due to a Student Code of Conduct violation and has since transferred to Nebraska.

Ridding all memories of Keller seems curious considering how many highlights he provided last season before getting injured. But if ASU wants to put that public-relations nightmare as far in the rearview mirror as possible, that's OK, I guess.

What bothers me is ASU still plays clips of Mitchell Freedman before every game. Freedman, a free safety who played in Tempe from 1995-1998, was recently sentenced to 80 years in prison for multiple rape convictions.

While it's never been revealed what Keller did, at least he's not in jail. And he's certainly no rapist. So why does ASU want to quickly forget Keller but still celebrate Freedman's accomplishments on the football field?
