ASU police reported the following incidents Thursday:
An 18-year-old ASU student was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the Memorial Union on charges of trespassing.
The student allegedly had been warned five or six times not to return to the second floor of the MU.
MU employees said he repeatedly attends functions held on the second floor, which serve food, and takes food without permission, police reported.
He reportedly was handcuffed and taken to the police station.
The officer reportedly told the student to not return to the MU in the future.
An ASU student reported a theft Wednesday afternoon at the Business Administration C Wing.
He was proctoring an exam in Room 316, and an unidentified student stole a test, police reported.
He allegedly noticed a student sitting in the back row looking nervous.
The man reportedly left the classroom with a copy of the test questions; however, he left the answer sheet behind.
The name "Pill Bill" was written at the top of the form, police reported.
No fingerprints were recovered from the form, but it was impounded as evidence, police reported.
Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:
A 27-year-old Mesa man was arrested Wednesday morning at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel, 60 E. Fifth St., on charges of theft.
The man allegedly attempted to leave the hotel without paying for his breakfast.
He ate breakfast burritos, orange juice and coffee, and the bill was $17.13, police reported.
He reportedly told police he had no money.
A 47-year-old transient man was arrested Wednesday morning on the 100 block of West University Drive on charges of public consumption of alcohol and failure to identify himself.
The man drank an alcoholic beverage in front of an officer and refused to identify himself, police reported.
A 24-year-old Mesa man was arrested Thursday morning on the 2000 block of East Don Carlos Avenue on charges of motor vehicle theft.
The man reportedly stole a 1998 Nissan Maxima from the 1700 block of East University Drive.
The car was recovered, and the man was transported to Tempe City Jail.
