ASU police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 19-year-old ASU student was given a citation for unlawful use of a license Tuesday morning in Sahuaro Hall.

Police went to the residence hall after receiving a call that the odor of marijuana was coming from a room on the first floor of the D-Wing, police reported.

Officers searched the room, but no illegal items were found, police said.

When police checked the student's identification, dispatch notified them that his driver's license was suspended.

The officer confiscated the suspended license and advised the student that he was not allowed to have it in his possession.

Tempe police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 25-year-old Phoenix man was arrested

Tuesday night at 730 N. Mill Ave. at the Marquee

Theatre and charged with assault.

Police said the man was involved in an argument with his live-in girlfriend when he grabbed her in an attempt to prevent her from leaving the area.

The woman did not sustain any injuries, police reported.

The man admitted his involvement in the incident and was taken to Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, police reported.
