More than 30 bands will take over Tempe Beach Park this weekend, as Arizona's largest musical festival is here to rock Tempe.
The fifth annual Circle K Tempe Music Festival will be held today and Saturday.
"We had 20,000 people last year, which was great for us," said Alison Bailin, a spokeswoman for the Tempe Music Festival.
This year, there will be 36 bands performing during the two days of the festival.
"The most excitement we've got from fans so far is for The Fray and O.A.R. Also, tons of people have called us asking about Lifehouse and Yellowcard," Bailin added.
Industrial engineering graduate student Shlagha Jain said, "I will go mainly for the music. I definitely want to hear The Fray."
Other bands including Everclear, Gin Blossoms and Obadiah Parker are part of the festival's eclectic lineup.
"This will be the seventh time I've seen O.A.R, [and I'm looking forward to] Everclear," said Tony Brown, a business and mass communication junior.
Tonight is the Festival's ASU college night.
"We are hoping to build a relationship with all ASU campuses and make Friday night ownership to ASU," Bailin said.
The first 1,000 students and faculty in the door with their ASU ID cards get a free shirt.
Tickets are on sale at Hoodlums in the Memorial Union for $25 for students. They are $35 at the door.
Hoodlums co-owner Kristian Luce said the store has been selling a lot of tickets.
"We were approached to represent ASU for Tempe Music Festival's ASU college night," Luce said. "We are going to sell CDs and give away free stuff."
This year, the entertainment will be kicked up a notch.
"The theme this year is more than music. There is stuff for everyone beyond music," Bailin said.
The SRP Lil' Rockers Area includes karaoke and performances for kids.
For a thrill, "Socko will be sampling products and offering tethered hot air balloon rides. All proceeds from the balloon rides will go to charity," said Dustin Spareman, marketing director for Socko energy drink.
For sports enthusiasts, the Miller Madness Sports Lounge features a bar and flat-screen televisions.
The festival kicks off tonight at 5 p.m. until midnight and Saturday from noon to midnight.
