Tempe police reported the following incidents Thursday:
An 18-year-old Tempe woman was arrested around 2 a.m. Thursday and charged with domestic violence assault.
The woman scratched and bit her live-in boyfriend on the back, face and arms, police reported.
She admitted assaulting her boyfriend, telling officers she was "frustrated" with him because he didn't have a job, police reported.
A 23-year-old Tempe man was arrested Thursday morning at his apartment on the 7200 block of South Kyrene Road and charged with misdemeanor assault.
During an argument over "personal issues," the man punched his girlfriend with a closed fist, striking her in the right side of her mouth, right breast and left jaw, police reported.
The man initially told officers he was "defending himself," but later refused to answer more questions, police reported.
He was booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge.
A 32-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Thursday night on the 1100 block of West Grove Parkway and charged with theft and possession of stolen property, displaying a fictitious license plate and violation of restrictions on a driver's license.
His registration was four months expired, police reported.
He was transported and booked into Tempe City Jail.
A 19-year-old Mesa man was arrested Wednesday night on the 1300 block of East Apache Boulevard and charged with assault, trespassing and minor in possession.
Police contacted the man after he returned to a property he had been trespassed from, officers reported.
He was booked into Tempe City Jail.
A 21-year-old Burlingame, Calif., man was arrested Thursday morning on the 600 block of South Mill Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct, assault and trespassing.
The man returned to a bar after being asked to leave for starting a fight, officers reported.
He then assaulted the bar staff members by slapping them and hitting them with a chair, police reported.
He was transported and booked into the Tempe City Jail.
