ASU police reported the following incidents:

A 48-year-old Tempe man reported a burglary in the evening of July 17 at the Student Recreation Center.

The man coaches a fencing club and he and his team locked the doors to Small Gym B on June 28 and left for a national tournament, police reported.

When the team returned to the SRC on July 17, their fencing equipment was stolen from the storage room, according to the police report.

The coach reportedly stated the doors are always locked before leaving the complex.

The loss of the equipment is about $2,400.

A 45-year-old ASU employee reported criminal damage in the afternoon of July 18 at Lot 58.

The man reportedly discovered a rear window of an ASU Public Events van was broken at 3 p.m. on July 17.

A golf ball was found on the floor of the van, according to the report.

The man reportedly stated the window was not broken at 1:10 p.m. earlier that day.

There are no leads or suspects at this time and the estimated damage is $300.

A 30-year-old Mesa man reported his vehicle was broken into in the morning of July 18 on the 6400 block of S. Rowen St. in Mesa, AZ.

The man reportedly parked his vehicle in a driveway and left his driver's side door unlocked at about 5:30 p.m. on July 17.

The next morning - at about 7:30 a.m. - he noticed his stereo was missing, the police report stated.

No fingerprints were identified and there are no suspects, leads or witnesses, police reported.

The estimated loss of the stereo is about $100.

Tempe police reported the following incidents:

A 28-year-old Mesa man was arrested in the evening of July 19 on the 100 block of W. Guadalupe Road on charges of burglary, criminal damage and false reporting.

On July 10, the man broke into his ex-girlfriend's residence by breaking and entering through a kitchen window, according to the police report.

While in the residence, he cut a couch and bed with a knife, piled his ex-girlfriend's belongings in the living room and broke them by stepping on them, police reported.

He also reportedly removed a television from the premises.

On July 12, the man allegedly falsely filed burglary report with the Tempe Police Department, but on July 19, confessed that he committed the burglary, police reported.

A 33-year-old Tempe man was arrested in the morning of July 20 near the corner of Baseline Road and Hazelton Lane on charges of aggravated assault.

The man struck a victim in the head with a baseball bat, police reported.

He also punched another victim in the face three times, the report stated.

The victims positively identified the man and he was transported to Tempe City Jail, police reported.

A 37-year-old transient man was arrested in the evening of July 18 on the 3700 block of S. Mill Ave. on charges of possession of marijuana and an outstanding aggravated assault warrant.

The man was found passed out on the side of the road and a warrant check revealed an outstanding warrant from Paradise Valley, police reported.

A bag of marijuana and rolling papers reportedly were found in the man's left-front pants' pocket.

He was booked into the Tempe City Jail.
