Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:
- An 18-year-old Colorado woman was arrested Friday afternoon on the 1600 block of North Scottsdale Road on charges of prostitution and possession of marijuana, according to police reports.
The subject was arrested at the Executive Suite Hotel after management called the police to report an odor of burning marijuana coming from a room, according to the report.
After police entered the room, the woman admitted to smoking marijuana just prior to police entry, and said she was paid $160 from a male subject, also in the room, for sex, police reported.
The woman was booked into the Tempe City Jail and released pending the marijuana charge and held to see a judge for the prostitution charge.
- A 31-year-old Mesa man was arrested Friday morning on the 1400 block of South Jentilly Lane on charges of third degree vehicle burglary and possession of burglary tools, according to the police report.
The subject was arrested for a Mesa warrant after he was contacted referencing a vehicle burglary that occurred on the 1200 block of East Vista Del Cerro Lane, according to the reports.
According to the report, a witness made a positive identification of the subject as allegedly being observed in the victim's vehicle.
The subject was allegedly seen discarding his backpack when he was contacted, according to the report.
Upon inspection, the backpack contained burglary tools, police reported.
The man booked to the Tempe City Jail.
- A 23-year-old woman was arrested early Friday afternoon on the 100 block of East Fifth Street on charges of credit card theft, according to police reports.
The subject allegedly used the stolen credit card to charge $431.31 for a scooter she took possession of while on the 1800 block of East University Drive, police reported.
The subject left the scene before the card was discovered to be stolen, according to the report.
A witness identified the subject through a photo line-up.
The subject was questioned at the Tempe City Jail where she admitted to using the stolen card, police reported.
- An 18-year-old Glendale man was arrested late Friday night on the 400 block of Veterans Way on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police reports state.
The subject was allegedly seen holding a multi-colored glass pipe that contained a green leafy substance, police reported.
Police reported seeing the subject put the pipe to his mouth and exhale a smoke that held a strong odor of marijuana.
After being confronted by police, the subject allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana.
