ASU police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • A 21-year-old male ASU student was arrested Monday on suspicion of driving on a suspended license, false reporting to law enforcement, two outstanding felony warrants and one outstanding misdemeanor from the Goodyear city court, police reported.

    The student was apprehended at the corner of Apache Boulevard and College Avenue on suspcision of a traffic violation, and the officer discovered he was driving on a suspended license, according to the police report.

    The man was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail, police reported.

  • A 20-year-old male ASU student was arrested Monday on suspicion of disorderly conduct, committing criminal damage and being under 21 years of age with alcohol in the body, police reported.

    The student was apprehended at Vista Del Sol on the 700 block of Apache Boulevard, where he is a resident, according to the police report.

    He was found “wandering through the complex at 2:50 a.m.,” police reported.

  • A 20-year-old male ASU student and an 18-year-old male ASU student were arrested on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespassing Monday, police reported.

    The students were found at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center — the practice center for the men’s and women’s swim and dive teams — at 601 S. College Ave., according to the police report.

    Minutes after the students were apprehended, a third male student of an unknown age was also arrested on suspicion of criminal trespassing, police reported.

  • Between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., a vending machine on the northwest exterior corner of the Life Sciences E tower on Tyler Mall was damaged, police reported.

    The estimated damage to the machine is $1,000, according to the police report.

    There are no leads or suspects at this time, police reported.

Tempe police reported the following incident Tuesday:

  • A 25-year-old Mesa man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and misconduct involving a weapon Tuesday, police reported.

    The man was apprehended at 2225 W. Main St. in Mesa, according to the police report.

    The man — a taxi driver — allegedly shot and missed his passenger after an argument regarding the cab fare, police reported.

    A .380-caliber shell casing was found on the ground in the street where the shooting occurred, according to the police report.

    During a traffic stop, a pistol magazine with the same caliber rounds was found in the cab, police reported.

    The man admitted to arguing with the passenger over the fare and was held at the Tempe City Jail, according to the police report.
