ASU police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • Between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thursday an unknown suspect or suspects damaged the vehicle of a 22-year-old female ASU student, police reported.

    The vehicle was parked in Lot 59 East on the Tempe campus, according to the police report.

    The suspect or suspects scratched the paint along the side panels of the car, police reported.

    The estimated loss is $300, according to the police report.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses at this time, police reported.

  • Between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9:15 a.m. Thursday an unknown person or persons committed criminal damage to the Physical Sciences A-Wing building on the Tempe campus, police reported.

    Lights across the side of the building were destroyed, according to the police report.

    The estimated damage is $750, police reported.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses at this time, according to the police report.

  • A 21-year-old male ASU student was arrested Oct. 25 on suspicion of assault, criminal damage, and being a public nuisance, police reported.

    The student was apprehended on the 600 block of East University Drive at 3:30 a.m., according to the police report.

    He was originally arrested on suspicion of assault after officers were alerted to a fight on the street, according to the police report.

    Based on behavior after his arrest, the man was charged additionally on suspicion of public nuisance and criminal damage, police reported.

    The report included no detail on his behavior following the arrest, according to the police report.

    The student was cited on all charges and booked into Fourth Avenue Jail, police reported.

  • An unknown person committed theft of means of transportation by stealing a golf cart off of ASU property on Oct. 25, police reported.

    The cart was stolen from the Vista del Sol parking structure on the Tempe campus, according to the police report.

    The total estimated loss is $3,500, police reported.

    There are no leads or suspects at this time, according to the police report.

Tempe police reported the following incident Monday:

  • A 20-year-old Tempe man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of three counts of being in possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.

    The man was apprehended on the 200 block of West Hermosa Drive, according to the police report.

    Police were called to the location after a 911 call reported assault, police reported.

    Upon arrival they found three glass marijuana pipes in the bedroom of the apartment. The items were out on the bed and floor, according to the police report.

    A one-and-a-half-year-old child was in the room at the time, police reported.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, police reported. When he exited the car a plastic bag filled with marijuana was found where he had been sitting, according to the police report.

    The man was then booked on an additional count of possessing a usable amount of marijuana, police reported.

    He was held to see a judge, according to the police report.
