ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- An 18-year-old female student was arrested Sunday on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession at Hassayampa Academic Village on the Tempe campus, police reported.
Police were called to investigate the smell of marijuana coming from the woman’s room, according to the police report.
When questioned about the odor, the woman handed police a piece of drug paraphernalia used to smoke marijuana and said she had no other drugs or paraphernalia, police reported.
After a consented search, no other drug items were found, according to the police report.
The paraphernalia was impounded and the woman was cited and released at the scene, police reported.
- Between 5 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday an unknown suspect or suspects removed a 23-year-old man’s bike from the north side of the Student Recreation Complex, police reported.
The total estimated loss is $600, according to the police report.
There are no suspects, leads or witnesses at this time, police reported.
Tempe Police reported the following incidents:
- A 19-year-old Fountain Hills man was arrested Sunday on South Rural Road and East Sixth Street on suspicion of being a minor in consumption of alcohol and being in possession of marijuana, police reported.
The man was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation, according to the police report.
When the vehicle was stopped, police smelled alcohol, and the passenger admitted to having been drinking, police reported.
After the arrest, the man admitted to having marijuana in his pocket, and when searched, a bag with suspected marijuana was found on his person, according to the police report.
The man was booked in Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
- A 26-year-old transient man was arrested Wednesday on the 1000 block of East Baseline Road on suspicion of second-degree burglary, police reported.
After an investigation, it was revealed that the man unlawfully entered a residence on the 1500 block of East Dunbar Drive and while inside, damaged property, according to the police report.
The man was transported and booked into Tempe City Jail, police reported.
