ASU police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • Between about 5 and 5:05 p.m. on Thursday, an unknown person or persons stole the laptop of a 19-year-old female ASU student, police reported.

    The computer was stolen from the hallway in front of the student’s dorm room in Hassayampa Academic Village on the Tempe campus when she left briefly and went into her room to get something, according to a police report.

    The total estimated loss is $1,200, police reported.

  • Between about 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, an unknown person or persons committed criminal damage on the Tempe campus, police reported.

    The suspect or suspects spray painted graffiti on the side of Grady Gammage Auditorium, according to a police report.

    The total estimated loss is $100, police reported.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses at this time, according to the report.

  • Between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, an unknown person or persons removed the letter “S” from Packard Stadium on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The letter was taken from the archway at the main entrance to the stadium at 201 S. Packard Drive, police reported.

    The total estimated loss is $150, police reported.

    There are no leads, suspects or witnesses, according to the report.

Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • A 25-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Friday on suspicion of aggravated assault, police reported.

    The man was forcibly removed from Dos Gringos bar at 1001 E. Eighth Street after he pulled a folding pocketknife from his jeans and swung it at two staff members, according to a police report.

    The suspect hit one of the staff members, causing a 6-inch cut, according to the report.

    The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and held to see a judge, police reported.

  • A 23-year-old Mesa man was arrested Friday on suspicion of aggravated assault and criminal damage, police reported.

    Investigation revealed that the man punched his ex-girlfriend in the face during an argument, causing a fracture in her left mandible bone, according to a police report.

    The man also damaged the victim’s bathroom door by forcing it open during the altercation, police reported.

    The man was handcuffed in the home and taken to Tempe City Jail, booked and held to see a judge. He had no visible injuries, according to the report.

    In an interview, the man admitted to punching the woman, stating that it was after she had punched him in the face and on the back of his hand, police reported.
