ASU police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • At 8:54 p.m. on Monday, two 20-year-old males were arrested on suspicion of highway racing, police reported.

    The men were caught racing their vehicles between East Baseline and South Rural roads in Tempe, police reported.

    Both men were cited and released at the scene, according to a police report.

  • Between 10 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday, an unknown person or persons broke into the apartment of a 20-year-old male ASU student, police reported.

    Unknown items were taken from the apartment, located on the 600 block of East Apache Boulevard, according to a police report.

    The loss is estimated at $3,600, police reported.

    Police reported no suspects or witnesses at this time, but there is an investigative lead.

  • Between 1:30 and 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, an unknown person or persons vandalized a wall in a residence hall hallway, police reported.

    The vandalism took place in Hassayampa Academic Village residence hall, on the 1200 block of South McAllister Avenue, according to a police report.

    The damage included a swastika symbol, approximately six inches wide, scratched into the wall, police reported.

    Police reported no suspects, witnesses or leads at this time.

    The estimated damage is valued at $50, police reported.

  • An unknown person or persons broke into a 20-year-old female ASU student’s car between noon on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday, according to a police report.

    The driver’s front window of the 1995 green Subaru Legacy was broken into, police reported.

    The car was parked in Lot 63 on the Tempe campus, according to the report.

    The only item stolen from the car was a pair of weightlifting gloves belonging to the owner of the car, according to a police report.
