Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:
A 22-year-old Tempe man was arrested just before 11 p.m. on Friday when investigation revealed he had given a false name and date of birth, police reported.
The man was a passenger in a vehicle police had stopped and an identity check revealed outstanding warrants for probation violation, according to a police report.
The suspect also had a usable amount of marijuana in his possession, police reported.
He was booked and released pending drug charges, according to the report.
A 52-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested in Tempe around midnight after investigation revealed she had two warrants out for her arrest, police reported.
Her warrants were cited as sale of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.
She was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
A 35-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Thursday around 4 p.m. on suspicion of probation violation, according to a police report.
When police approached the woman, she initially lied about her name and was charged with false reporting to law enforcement, according to the report.
The two probation officers on site then felt there was a need to search her apartment, police reported. They found “baggies and scales with a white residue.”
She was taken to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
A Phoenix man was arrested Thursday just after 1 a.m. on suspicion first-degree criminal trespassing, police reported.
The man was contacted after he climbed over the west side fence of the light-rail bridge and proceeded to walk all the way across, defying the critical trespassing signs, according to a police report.
He was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and held to see a judge, police reported.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday 1 a.m. on suspicion of first-degree trespassing involving weapons and possession of a prescription-only drug after she was seen walking across the light-rail bridge, police reported.
According to a police report, a search of the woman’s purse and belongings revealed she was in possession of a loaded 9mm pistol.
She was booked and held to see a judge, police reported.
A 24-year-old Scottsdale man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of DUI, police reported.
He was seen swerving in and out of the bike lane on Mill Avenue when he was pulled over, according to a police report.
A search of the man revealed he had a “green leafy substance” in his front left pocket, according to the report.
Police reported that upon being informed of his charges he said “What? For only two grams?”
The man was booked and released on the DUI charges, with drug charges pending.
A 69-year-old Phoenix man was arrested just before noon on Tuesday after investigation revealed he and another employee removed $5,600 from his employer’s safe, police reported.
According to a police report, the men spent the money at Casino Arizona.
The man admitted the theft to his manager, police reported.
He was booked to Tempe City Jail.
