Fighting words
Over the last two months, the ASU HwaRangDo Instructional Program has been unable to receive any support from certain members in the SRC Administration and as a result has been killed off.
What we want is for these people to either be retrained so they know how to do their jobs free of lackadaisical mismanagement and unprofessional spite or to be replaced with someone who will do the job correctly.
Our goal is only to get our program back and be able to run it smoothly.
Due to the following matters, we are planning a series of protests and rallies toward the purpose of getting our program back.
This semester saw the beginning of a new policy for instructional programs at the SRC that was unclear, had no specified deadlines or instructions and created an environment where programs were both very expensive for an instructor to run and mired with a slow, messy application processes, complimented with a staff who was not responsive in returning calls, processing submitted information or taking responsibility for their own mistakes and shortcomings.
We are only interested in benefiting the ASU community with a martial arts program that is both low cost and high quality training. It is not our job to deal with the shortcomings of new program policies or staff.
We tried our best to meet their requirements. In many cases, we felt we were holding their hand in trying to comply with all of their problems.
Our intent now is to write letters, protest and inform the local media of what has happened and what is happening.
We will not stop until something changes. We are willing to work with you right now, if you are willing to do what is right.
