Tempe police reported the following incidents Sunday:

  • A 23-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested Wednesday on the 1200 block of West Baseline Road after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent asked for permission to search her purse for identification and found a bottle containing a small multi-colored pill believed to be ecstasy, police reported.

    She also had four outstanding city of Phoenix warrants, according to the police report.

    She was reportedly held on the warrants and released pending the charges of possessing dangerous drugs.

  • A 22-year-old Mesa man was arrested Aug. 17 on the 3300 block of South Los Feliz Drive on suspicion of burglary and trespassing, police reported.

    The man was arrested after an investigation revealed he reached into a partially open window at the Jack In The Box at East Southern Avenue and South McClintock Drive. The man then hid from police in a residential back yard, according to the police report.

    The arrested man was taken to Tempe City Jail on one count of third-degree burglary and one count of first-degree trespassing, police reported.

  • A 44-year-old Tempe man was arrested Aug. 16 on the 1800 block of East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of aggravated assault with a knife, police reported.

    An investigation revealed that the man pulled a knife on a 43-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy in the apartment complex at that location, according to the police report.

    The man was arrested on one count of aggravated assault with a knife.

  • A 44-year-old Tempe man was arrested Aug. 16 on the 1000 block of East Geneva Drive. The arrest was made under suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, police reported.

    The arrested man had a wallet belonging to a woman in his pocket, according to the police report.

    Two usable bags of methamphetamine were found under a nearby bush, police reported.

    The man was held to see a judge on suspicion of possession of stolen property. He was released pending one count of possession of dangerous drugs.

  • A 28-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Aug. 15 on the 2300 block of East Apache Boulevard under suspicion of loitering and trespassing, police reported.

    The man failed to provide a valid light rail pass, refused to leave and was going to be placed under arrest, according to the police report.

    When confronted, the man kicked a local security guard who was assisting the Tempe Police in their duties. A struggle then ensued between the man and the officers, police reported.

    The man reportedly would not allow the officers to handcuff him and actively resisted arrest. Police used a Taser on him twice during the altercation, police reported.

    It took four Tempe police officers to hold the man down and place him in handcuffs, according to the police report.

    Once in handcuffs, police reported the man made multiple threats to kill officers at the scene.

    He was arrested at 1:20 a.m. and transported to Maricopa County Hospital to be medically evaluated, police reported.

    After being cleared, the man was transported to Tempe City Jail on counts of aggravated assault of law enforcement officers, threatening/intimidating, third-degree trespassing and resisting arrest, police reported.

  • A 31-year-old Guadalupe woman was arrested Aug. 14 on the 1300 block of West Elliot Road on suspicion of shoplifting from the Wal-Mart at that location, police reported.

    The woman exited Wal-Mart around 10 p.m. with miscellaneous items totaling $355, according to the police report.

    A witness said the woman made no attempt to pay for the items as she passed several points of purchase, police reported.

    She was transported to Tempe City Jail on one count of shoplifting.
