Tempe Police reported the following incidents Friday:
- A 23-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Friday around 3:31 a.m. near Jack In The Box on South Mill Avenue and East University Drive on suspicion of assault, according to a police report.

The man was involved in a verbal altercation while standing in the drive-through lane at the restaurant, according to police.
The altercation got physical when the man reportedly spit on the victim’s chest, according to a report.
The man’s cousins also took the victim’s food, which the victim had paid for, police reported.
A search revealed the man had an outstanding warrant for possessing marijuana and he was transported to Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, according to a police report.
- A 26-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Friday at 2 a.m. near South Rural Road and East 6th Street on suspicion of possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license, according to a police report.

An investigation also revealed the man had two outstanding warrants for his arrest for traffic violations, according to a report.
The man was booked into Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge on the warrants, police reported.
- A 30-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested Thursday at 1:30 p.m. on suspicion of forgery and identity theft, according to police reports.

The woman was using a social security number that was assigned to a different person to obtain and maintain employment at Country Inn and Suites on North Scottsdale Road and the 202 highway between Aug. 3 2009 and Feb. 11, police reported.
She used the Social Security number on tax forms and employment applications and signed each form as accurate, according to reports.
The woman admitted to buying the Social Security card, along with a permanent resident card, for $150 from a man at her apartment complex so that she could get a job, police reported.
She was booked into the Tempe City Jail and held pending charges, according to a report.
- A 38-year-old Buckeye man was arrested Wednesday around 11 p.m. near West Broadway Road and South El Dorado Street in Mesa on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, according to a police report.

The man was initially pulled over for driving a vehicle that made an improper turn in Tempe and a search of the vehicle revealed a usable quantity of methamphetamine, police reported.
The man was booked into the Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, according to a report.
