Feel like trying out a few new coffee shops over spring break? Here’s a list of the top 10 local establishments you should definitely give a try:

Cartel Coffee Lab (Ash Avenue and University Drive in Tempe, and also on 1st and Washington Streets in downtown Phoenix). This coffee-conscious “lab” offers an array of high quality coffee beans and makes all of their milk-based drinks with specialty Clover brand milk.

Lux Coffee Bar (Turney and Central Avenues in Phoenix). Lux offers lattes that will make your heart melt and divine pastries that will keep you going back for more.

Lola Coffee Bar (3rd and Roosevelt Streets, and also near Highland and Central Avenues in Phoenix). This unique coffee bar offers exceptional Americanos and a slew of must-have pastries from Sweet Pea Bakery and Catering in downtown Phoenix.

Fair Trade Café (1st and Central Avenues, and also on Central Avenue right across from the ASU Downtown campus in the Civic Space Park). This close-to-campus spot promotes fair trade coffee and also serves sandwiches and pastries.

3 Roots Coffee House and Café (Mill Avenue in between 10th and 11th Streets, across from the Tempe campus). A crosswalk away from campus, this is the perfect place to get your in-between-class coffee. If you’re in the mood for a snack, though, their yogurt parfaits are one of the best in the area.

E61 Bar (Elliot and Gilbert Roads in Gilbert, inside of Liberty Market). E61 offers exceptional mochas and is known for having amazing cortaditos (espresso, steamed milk and raw sugar).

Conspire (5th and Garfield Streets in downtown Phoenix). This Phoenix spot offers not only exceptional coffee, but also handmade arts and crafts — and vegan donuts.

Gold Bar Espresso (McClintock Drive and Southern Avenue in Tempe). A Tempe tradition, Gold Bar serves Allann Bros. Coffee from Eugene, Oregon in huge mugs and is currently expanding so they can accommodate more students and coffee lovers alike.

Royal Coffee Bar (Central Avenue and Pierce Street in Phoenix, inside the Downtown Phoenix Public Market). This is a hidden gem that offers everything from Americanos to mochas and everything in between.

Coffee Rush (Ray and Dobson Roads in Chandler, and Gilbert Road and Baseline Road in Gilbert). Coffee Rush offers a quiet space for quality studying time and also serves a mean hot chocolate.
