ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:
- Multiple males, possibly from the Sigma Pi Fraternity, are suspected to have assaulted two 19-year-old students and another 19-year-old man around 2:30 a.m. Friday, police reported.
One student assaulted is a man and the other is a woman, according to a police report.
The assaults took place in the Sigma Pi Fraternity house and in ASU Lot 57 on Tempe campus, according to a report.
Police are pursuing two possible investigative leads, though the victims didn’t want to aid in prosecution, police reported.
- An unknown person or persons committed criminal damage Saturday by slashing the tires of a vehicle belonging to an 18-year-old male student, police reported.
The student’s BMW 323i was parked in ASU Lot 72 on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.
The estimated loss is $500, police reported.
There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
- A 21-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of production of marijuana and being in possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
Police responded to a call of a family fight around 8 p.m. at the woman’s apartment on the 1800 block of East Hayden Lane in Tempe, according to a police report.
A sweep of the apartment revealed four 2-to-3 foot high marijuana plants in an isolated compartment with a separate air filter and lighting, police reported.
Police also found several items of drug paraphernalia and two glass jars containing marijuana, according to a report.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
- A 32-year-old Phoenix man was arrested around 3 a.m. Tuesday on suspicion of aggravated assault and criminal damage, police reported.
The man and an accomplice used the metal hinge of a tie-down strap to smash the windshield and both passenger windows of a 1997 Nissan truck, according to a report.
They also smashed the front windshield, rear window and both driver’s-side doors of a Nissan Xterra in a parking lot on the 1300 block of East Broadway Road, police reported.
The man was seen smashing the windows by an independent witness, according to a report.
After being confronted by a bystander, the man swung the metal hinge at the bystander’s head, narrowly missing him, according to a police report.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge, police reported.
