Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
A 39-year-old Mesa woman was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of possession of a narcotic drug and drug paraphernalia, and having an outstanding Maricopa County warrant, police reported.
Police contacted the woman on Apache Drive in Tempe, according to a police report.
A warrant check of the woman revealed an outstanding Maricopa County warrant, police reported.
A search incident to arrest revealed a usable quantity of heroin, a metal spoon with soot on the bottom, a syringe and a small glass pipe with residue, according to a report.
The woman complained to police of overdosing on methamphetamine and was transported to Tempe St. Luke’s hospital, police reported.
After being released from the hospital, the woman was transported to Tempe City Jail and held to see a judge.
A 21-year-old Guadalupe man was arrested around midnight Aug. 20 on suspicion of possession of a narcotic drug, police reported.
Police stopped the man’s 1997 Chevrolet truck on the 1000 block of East 8th Street in Tempe for a moving traffic violation, according to a police report.
In a search of the man’s vehicle before it was towed, police discovered a usable quantity of cocaine in a plastic bag on the front bench of the truck, police reported.
The man admitted to possession of the cocaine, according to a report.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, booked and released pending charges, police reported.
ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
An unknown man assaulted a 19-year-old male student around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, police reported.
The student was sitting on a bench outside of the Palo Verde Main residential hall in Tempe when the man walked up to him and spit on him repeatedly, according to a police report.
The man then left after yelling at the student, police reported.
The student did not sustain any injuries, according to a report.
There are no suspects or leads, police reported.
An unknown person or persons committed theft of services between Aug. 16 and Aug. 24 by reprogramming a washing machine in a laundry room on the first floor of the Palo Verde West residential hall in Tempe, police reported.
The total estimated loss is $200, according to a police report.
