Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:
A 30-year-old Tempe man was arrested around midnight Aug. 24 on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, paraphernalia and giving false information to law enforcement, police reported.
The man was contacted by police at the intersection of North Scottsdale Road and East Weber Drive, according to a police report.
A consensual search of the man revealed a glass methamphetamine pipe and a usable quantity of methamphetamine.
The man admitted to police of lying about his name to avoid arrest for an outstanding warrant from Phoenix.
The man was booked and held at Tempe City Jail, police reported.
A 39-year-old Mesa woman was arrested around 10:30 p.m. Aug. 22 on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs and obstructing a public thoroughfare, police reported.
The woman was contacted at the intersection of North Scottsdale Road and Loop 202 while standing in the middle of the road, where she was stopping cars from passing.
A police search led to discovery of generic Adderall pills found in the woman’s purse without a prescription, police reported.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, according to a report.
An 18-year-old Tempe woman was arrested around 4:45 a.m. Aug. 20 on suspicion of possession of a narcotic drug and being in possession of marijuana, police reported.
The woman was contacted by police on the 1300 block of West Broadway Road in Tempe, according to a police report, and a police investigation revealed a prescription bottle, belonging to the woman’s aunt, containing OxyContin pills and marijuana, police reported.
Police also found two other containers with OxyContin, according to a report.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
A 40-year-old Tempe woman was arrested around 8 a.m. Aug. 20 on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, police reported.
The woman was contacted and detained on the 1300 block of West Baseline Road in Tempe after she was seen attempting to start a vehicle with a screwdriver, according to a police report.
The woman was released after it was determined the vehicle was hers and was advised that she was free to go, but consented to a search of her purse, police reported.
A K-9 search around the vehicle alerted the dog, and a search revealed a small plastic bag containing a clear crystalline substance, according to a report.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail and released pending charges, police reported.
