Tempe Police reported the following incidents last week:

An ASU student and another man were arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and aggravated assault Aug. 28, police reported.

The two kicked in the door of a room in an apartment complex and, after entering the room, they called the occupant a derogatory name. The ASU student then started choking the occupant with one hand around his throat, according to a police report.

They fled the scene afterward, police reported.

They were standing in the parking lot prior to the event and they were spit upon, according to a police report. However, the person who was assaulted turned out not to be involved with the people who spit on them, police reported.

An ASU student was arrested on suspicion of delay, obstruction and resisting arrest after he began fighting with Tempe Police officers and was eventually Tasered, according to a police report.

He was seen walking within 8 feet of two officers who were dealing with two other subjects on the night of Aug. 28, police reported.

The student began making comments to the officers, including, “they are just trying to make me a quota.” The officers told him to leave but he refused, instead saying, “get out of my face,” according to the report.

He was then told he was being arrested for delay and obstruction, and he began fighting the police, leading to his eventual Tasing, according to a police report.

On Aug. 27, a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a narcotic drug, possession of marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of prescribed medication, according to a police report.

The man was driving on Rural Road without his headlights on and during the administering of a field sobriety test, he showed signs of impairment, police reported.

He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, and upon the search of his vehicle police discovered marijuana, xanax, percocet, ecstasy and a white, powdery substance, according to a police report.

A man was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, misconduct involving weapons and DUI/drugs on Aug. 26, according to a police report.

Along with four unidentified armed suspects, the man kidnapped four people on the street at gunpoint and entered their residence, police reported.

Two of the victims had cloth bags put on their heads, had their wrists duct-taped together and were forced into a bathroom at gunpoint, according to a police report.

The other two were forced into a storage room in the back at gunpoint. Throughout the event, property was removed from the residence as well as from the victim’s pockets, police reported.

Afterward, two of the victims were able to positively identify the man out of a photo lineup, according to a police report.
