Police Beat: Sept. 1


ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

An unknown person or persons committed burglary between 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday, police reported.

A vehicle belonging to an 18-year-old female student was broken into, and a Garmin GPS was taken from the vehicle while it was parked in the Rural Road Parking Structure on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

The estimated loss is $850, police reported.

There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

A 16-year-old female was arrested around 3 a.m. Friday on suspicion of being a minor with alcohol in the body, police reported.

Police discovered the female passed out against a parked vehicle in Parking Structure 7 on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

The girl admitted to police to consuming alcohol at the Sigma Pi Fraternity, police reported.

A 33-year-old man was arrested around 10:30 p.m. Aug. 25 on suspicion of theft and criminal damage, police reported.

The man used a pair of bolt cutters to cut a cable lock and removed a bicycle from the racks at Manzanita Hall on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

The man was arrested and booked into Fourth Avenue Jail, police reported.

An unknown person or persons committed theft Aug. 24 by taking a saxophone and iPhone belonging to a 26-year-old man, police reported.

The items were taken from the Music Building on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

The estimated loss is $5,200, police reported.

There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

An unknown person or persons committed burglary and criminal damage between Aug. 22 and Thursday.

The passenger side window was broken and an aftermarket stereo was removed from a vehicle belonging to a 19-year-old male student in the Vista del Sol parking structure on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

The estimated loss is $1,550, police reported.

There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

An unknown person or persons committed burglary around 9 p.m. Aug. 22, police reported.

An 18-year-old male student’s residence was unlawfully entered at the Palo Verde Main residential hall on the Tempe campus, and the student’s MacBook Pro was removed from his desk, according to a police report.

The estimated loss is $1,500, police reported.

There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
