Police Beat: Sept. 24


ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft around 5 p.m. Wednesday by taking a cell phone belonging to an 18-year-old female student, police reported.The student’s Blackberry Bold was left in a restroom stall inside Hayden Library on the Tempe campus, according to a police report

    The estimated loss is $400, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

    An unknown person or persons committed theft between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday by taking a bicycle belonging to a 20-year-old male student, police reported.

    The bicycle was taken from the Memorial Union on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $160, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft between 9 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday by damaging a feeder constructed by a 67-year-old man, police reported.The man built the feeder to hold food for cats outside Cholla Apartments on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $25, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft between 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Monday by taking a long board belonging to an 18-year-old male student, police reported.The long board was left at Murdock Hall on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $250, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft between Sep. 17 and Sunday by taking a bicycle belonging to an 18-year-old male student, police reported.The bicycle was taken from Hassayampa Academic Village on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $412, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft Sep. 16 by taking a bicycle belonging to a 32-year-old graduate student, police reported.The bicycle was taken from the north side of the Urban Systems Engineering building on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $235, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
