Police Beat: Oct. 13

ASU police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • An unknown male committed indecent exposure around 2 a.m. Monday, police reported.The man walked up behind three females, wearing only a Halloween mask and fondled himself for approximately 10 seconds on the west side of the Urban Systems Engineering building on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    All three victims declined to aid in prosecution, and the man had not been identified or located at the time of the report, police reported.

  • An unknown person or persons committed criminal damage between 12:40 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, police reported.A red penis was painted on the back window of a car belonging to an 18-year-old female student while it was parked on the 1200 block of South McAllister Avenue in Tempe, according to a police report.

    The estimated cost to remove the paint was $20 – the cost of a car wash, police reported.

    There were no witnesses, but the student said she believed a former friend was responsible for the drawing, according to a report.

    The student did not wish to aid in prosecution, police reported.

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft by means of transportation between 11 p.m. Oct. 3 and 7 p.m. Oct. 4, police reported.A black Ford F150 belonging to a 19-year-old male student was taken while it was parked in the Veteran’s Way parking structure on the Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated loss is $14,000, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed criminal damage around 3 a.m. Friday, police reported.A fire extinguisher was deployed in the northeast hall of the G-wing of Hassayampa Academic Village on Tempe campus, according to a police report.

    The estimated damage is $50, police reported.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, according to a report.
