Baseball season is now in full swing with the start of spring training, and there is high drama in the air.

Derek Jeter is back with New York for the long haul, anxious to prove his worth. Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez signed with Boston to make for the deadliest offense in baseball. Cliff Lee returned to Philadelphia to add to the Phillies’ hand of aces. Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez re-signed with the Rockies, making Colorado a legitimate threat in the NL West.

Meanwhile, Albert Pujols and Michael Young are set to play this season with a monkey on their back.

Of course, the usual suspects are back and better than ever in pursuit of a title.

The Red Sox, Yankees and Phillies are already favorites for the Fall Classic. And ninja closer Brian Wilson and “The Machine” (presumably Pat Burrell) have come back crazier than ever for the defense of San Francisco’s crown.

Last season’s stacked rookie class, which included Giants catcher Buster Posey, is here to prove that a phenomenal first year wasn’t a fluke. There are exciting rookies on the radar, too, such as Reds flame-throwing southpaw Aroldis Chapman, who has about 105 reasons to watch him.

It’s open season on the diamond this year, baby. Who you got to win it all?
