“We’ll figure it out.”

It’s a figure of speech commonly heard in the Miami Heat locker room.

The Heat are 0-9 against the top four teams in the NBA, but of course, they’ll figure it out.

The Heat are 1-for-16 on game-tying or go-ahead field goal attempts in the last 10 seconds of the fourth quarter or overtime, but hey, they figured it out at least one time there, right? If you want to count the LeBron James dunk in a loss to the Grizzlies in December as figuring it out.

This was the team that was figured to break the Bulls’ single season wins record? This was a team that was figured to win six or seven championships?

When James figured out his decision, people questioned how they would be able to get a solid supporting cast around the Big Three of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. All I heard that was with three superstars and Pat Riley, they’ll figure it out.

I figure that the Heat have about a month to figure it out. I figure they could be in line for an upset to the new Knicks. I figure they could continue to lose against the Bulls and the Celtics.

I figure the Heat aren’t all that hot.
