‘It’s Time’ works for water polo

The rebranding of ASU, which was supposed to re-energize Sun Devil athletics and instill a sense of unity, seems to have been effective and was well-received by the ASU water polo team.

“I think it’s exciting,” ASU coach Todd Clapper said. “One of the cool things about it is that this is ours and we are all Sun Devils. I like it.”

The athletes echoed Clapper’s sentiments and are excited about the change as well.

“I think it’s really cool,” ASU senior Candice Phillippe said. “I’m really sad that I’m not going to be here next year to see it, but I think it will be a good change.”

Although the new font and emphasis on the pitchfork will affect all of the sports at ASU, the new football and basketball jerseys garnered most of the attention.

“I like the jerseys and I like the football helmets, they’re pretty stylish,” Clapper said. “I think all the athletes are pretty excited about it too. If the athletes are excited about it then I think that’s great.”
