WE ARE BETTER OFF FOR THEIR SERVICE
(In response to the April 22 editorial, “Boos and bravos: April 22.”)
Bravo to Dr. Michael Crow and the ASU staff, faculty and Alumni who helped make the Veterans Center possible.
It is truly fitting that the Center is named after Pat Tillman, who had a spirit of “a higher purpose,” had a “sense of service” and a “thirst for knowledge and education” that is kept alive through the efforts of ASU, its alumni, student veterans and the Pat Tillman Foundation.
The Pat Tillman Veterans Center is designed specifically to ensure that student veterans successfully transition from their military/combat culture, succeed in their educational goals and graduate on a timely basis.
Just as Pat Tillman would agree that “Rangers Lead the Way,” so, too, is ASU leading the way to become the most Veteran-supportive university in the Nation.
Thanks for your service and don’t let the enemy defeat you at home.

Only six issues of The State Press left! Have a burning desire to see your words and name in print? Send a letter to letters.editor@asu.edu.
Letters to the editor should be no longer than 250 words and can be about the Middle East, Gov. Jan Brewer, immigration, or whatever should cross your mind.
When mother told you to not say anything if you don’t have anything nice to say, she wasn’t talking about the letters to the editor section of The State Press.
Actually, if she knew that you weren’t writing to us, she would be extremely disappointed.
