Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:

  • A 21-year-old Mesa man was arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs and a DUI warrant at the 700 block of North Mill Avenue at approximately 8:36 p.m. Saturday, according to a police report.The man was observed by security at the Marquee Theater in possession of illegal mushrooms in the men’s bathroom, police reported.

    The man voluntarily gave additional mushrooms that were in his shirt pocket to an officer, according to the report.

    He was detained and admitted to being in possession of the mushrooms post Miranda, police reported.

    It was also discovered that the man had a warrant from Gilbert, and he was booked in Tempe City Jail and released, according to the report.

ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
  • An unknown person or persons committed theft at the Engineering Center A-Wing on the Tempe campus between 10 p.m. March 28 and 4:30 p.m. March 29, according to a police report.The person or persons stole two Apple iMac mice from the desktop computers in a room of the building, police reported.

    The total estimated loss is $100, according to the report.

  • An unknown person or persons committed criminal damage at Lot 16 on the Tempe campus at 817 South Mill Avenue between the hours of 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, according to a police report.The person or persons put multiple scratches on a car parked in the lot with an unknown object, police reported.

    The total estimated loss is $500, according to the report.

    There are no suspects, leads or witnesses at this time, police reported.

  • An unknown person or persons committed third-degree burglary at ASU Salvage on the 2000 block of East Rio Salado Parkway between 9 a.m. March 31 and 10 a.m. Monday, according to a police report.The person or persons stole about 200 feet of copper wire from the south side of the building, police reported.

    The total estimated loss is $700, according to the report.

    There are no suspects, witnesses or leads at this time, police reported.

  • An unknown person or persons committed theft at the Rural Road Parking Structure on the Tempe campus between 12 a.m. March 27 and 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.The person or persons stole a license plate from a vehicle in the structure, police reported.

    The total estimated loss is $5, according to the report.
