The “Sh-t Girls Say” video has undoubtedly taken over all social networking sites. The infamous funny-because-it’s-true video debuted Dec. 12, 2011 on YouTube and has managed to acquire more than 13 million views. Since then, the video has inspired dozens of other parody videos.

Although the videos blatantly use over-generalizations and stereotypes to elicit laughs, they are found to be hilarious through their relatability. The original “Sh-t Girls Say,” written and created by Graydon Sheppard and Kyle Humphrey, hit spot-on to the behaviors and mannerisms of some women out there.

The that-is-so-true humor running through all of these videos attracts viewers and makes the parodies so entertaining.

ASU’s Devil’s Chowda created a parody titled “Sh-t ASU Students Say,” which uncannily resembles student-life at the University. “Yo, Manzy is scary as sh-t,” and “Blackboard is down again!” are phrases often uttered by students around campus.

From “Sh-t Asian Dads Say,” to “Sh-t Southern Gay Guys Say” and even “Sh-t Brides Say,” the spin-offs have started poking fun at more specific stereotypes.

It is difficult to say if the videos have crossed into the inappropriate category. The subjects of the videos have become so distinct that there is no telling if certain groups will be offended.

Because there have been almost too many “Sh-t People Say” videos all over the Internet, The State Press sifted through the most popular parodies and selected the funniest videos.

There is no telling how long this video fad will last, but in the meantime, these are the ones that are most worth viewing.
