With Arizona’s centennial upon us, this is a time to reminisce on the state's sports teams.

At the Best Festival, the centennial celebration held in downtown Phoenix, there is an area dedicated to do just that.

I visited the festival on Sunday, and I'll admit it felt good to reminisce.

It was nice to relive the glory days of ASU football when a Fiesta Bowl berth was a given.

Watching highlights from the Cardinals’ Super Bowl run gave me the chills, but it was bittersweet.

Remembering the “White Out” for the Coyotes was great, especially because I was a part of it.

Reading about the Suns’ run to the 1993 NBA Finals was especially gratifying because I was born during game three of the Finals – a triple overtime thriller.

Last but not least, the Diamondbacks’ 2001 World Series Championship is arguably the best moment in Arizona sports history.

This all brings me to the point I am trying to make: Arizona is lucky to have its sports teams and to have experienced success with them — and there are only more memories to come.

So when you celebrate Arizona’s centennial, take a little time to celebrate the past, present and future of Arizona sports.
