Police Beat: Feb. 13


Tempe Police reported the following incidents Friday:

 

  • A 22-year-old Gilbert man was arrested Wednesday near East Laguna Drive and South Rural Road on suspicion of marijuana possession, according to a police report. Tempe Police pulled the vehicle over and an officer could smell marijuana coming from inside as he approached the vehicle, police reported.The man told police he had marijuana and marijuana edibles in his car, according to the report.

    The man was arrested, transported to Tempe City Jail for booking and was released pending drug charges, police reported.

  • A 42-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Feb. 3 at the 500 block of West Nineteenth Street on suspicion of criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotic drugs, according to a police report. The woman was refusing to leave her father’s home after he repeatedly asked her to leave, police reported.The man called Tempe police, according to the report.Police arrested the woman and searched her, according to the report. Police found Vicodin and a Ziploc baggie containing a straw and methamphetamine residue, police reported.

    The woman was transported and booked into Tempe City Jail where she was held to see a judge and then released pending drug charges, according to the report.
