ASU Police reported the following incident Tuesday:

  • A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday on the 1100 block of South Forest Avenue on suspicion of disorderly conduct and interference, and disruption of an educational facility, according to a police report.A receptionist at the Counseling and Consultation Office in the Student Services Building called police because she said the man was being verbally abusive, police reported. The man told the receptionist he did not like the music playing in the office and asked her to turn it off, according to the report.

When she said she would not turn it off, the man said his music was better and began playing his saxophone, police reported.

When police arrived to the office, the man was playing his saxophone, according to the report.

After a few seconds, he said to the officers, “Why are the f--king police talking to me? Arrest me, b---h,” according to the report.

As police transported the man to the car, the man yelled at anyone who passed by and said he was being “oppressed” by the police, according to the report.

The man’s parents requested the previous night that he set up an appointment with counseling services because he was coming up with conspiracy theories and claiming, “A demon raped him in his sleep,” police reported.

The man was not on any medications for mental illness and there is no indication that he is a danger to himself or others, according to the report.

The man was arrested, transported and booked into Maricopa County Jail.
