Tempe Police reported the following incident Monday:
- A 23-year-old Tempe man was arrested at the 1400 block of East Broadway Road March 27 on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.
Tempe Police received a complaint of loud music coming from the man’s apartment, and they smelled marijuana coming from inside when they arrived, police reported.
When a woman answered the door for police, the smell of marijuana became stronger, but the woman said she didn’t live in the apartment and went to get the man, according to the report.
When the police officer entered the apartment, he saw marijuana in a plastic bag and a metal grinder on top of the kitchen counter, police reported.
The man told police the items were his, according to the report.
The man was arrested, transported to Tempe City Jail for booking and released pending drug charges, police reported.
