Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A 25-year-old Buckeye man was arrested Sunday at Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway on suspicion of driving under the influence and marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.
Police stopped the man and found he was driving under the influence, according to the report.
A search revealed a handgun tucked into the back of his pants, police reported.
Police discovered a yellow, glass pipe with burnt marijuana in a bowl in the vehicle’s center console, according to the report.
Police also found a backpack in the back of the vehicle with two, large plastic baggies filled with approximately 575 grams of marijuana, police reported.
The man was arrested, transported and booked into Tempe City Jail, according to the report.
- A 43-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Saturday at Mill Avenue and Carter Drive on suspicion of identity theft, providing false information to police and driving with a suspended license, according to a police report.
Police stopped the man during a traffic stop, according to the report.
The man gave police his identification card with his name and birth date, police reported.
The man later said he had given false information to the officer and had paid for the false identification card, according to the report.
The man was arrested, transported and booked into Tempe City Jail, police reported.
