ASU Police reported the following incidents Friday:

  • A 21-year-old Tempe man was arrested Tuesday at the 600 block of East Tyler Mall on suspicion of third-degree criminal trespassing, according to a police report.

A University Police officer was on patrol when he saw the man walking along the north side of Noble Science Library, police reported.

The officer remembered previous incidents on campus involving the same man, who was banned from all ASU campuses, police reported.

The man told the officer he was on the Tempe campus because he had to be at the ASU Police station, according to the report.

After the officer told the man he needed to take city streets, the man became very argumentative, police reported.

The man was arrested, given a citation, escorted to the police station to conduct his business and released, according to the report.

  • A 19-year-old Scottsdale man and an 18-year-old Tempe man were arrested Wednesday at the 1200 block of South College Avenue on suspicion of being under 21 and consuming alcohol, according to a police report.

Two women were leaving a party at the Vue apartments when they saw the 19-year-old man — one of the woman's ex-boyfriends — walking near Taco Bell with the 18-year-old man and another man, police reported.

The woman tried to talk with the ex-boyfriend, but the 18-year-old and the other man stopped her from getting near him, according to the report.

As the 19-year-old man kept walking away toward the Hayden East Wing residence hall, the 18-year-old man pushed both women to the ground outside of Hassayampa Phase 1 and then fled to the dorms, police reported.

When the man’s ex-girlfriend ran to catch up to the men at Hayden East, the 18-year-old man started punching her body and knocked her iPhone from her hand, according to the report.

The woman called ASU Police and showed them her scratches and the broken iPhone, police reported.

Both women said they didn’t want to aid in prosecution, according to the report.

The police met with the men after speaking to the women and issued them citations for consuming alcohol under the legal age, police reported.

The ex-boyfriend was not a student and was issued a trespassing citation that prohibits him from being on ASU property, according to the report.
