ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:
- An 18-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning on the 700 block of Apache Boulevard on suspicion of underage drinking and running from the police, according to a police report.
Police approached the man outside Vista del Sol after a female student said the male was “obnoxious” and possibly under the influence, police reported.
The man gave police three false names before accurately identifying himself, according to the report.
The man told police he drank Corona beers but did not have alcohol in his possession, police reported.
The officer noticed the student was slurring his words and swaying during the conversation, according to the report.
The man fled from police as the officer was arresting him and was caught by another officer outside of Domino’s Pizza, police reported.
Police handcuffed the student after he repeatedly tried to resist the arrest, according to the report.
The student received a citation and is expected to appear in court, police reported.
- Two Tempe men were cited early Sunday morning at a parking structure at Rural Road and Lemon Street on suspicion of underage drinking and purchasing alcohol for a minor, according to a police report.
Police approached three students at the Rural Road Parking Structure after seeing one carrying a plastic bag with SKYY Vodka, police reported.
Police heard one student use profanity when he saw the officer get out of the car, according to the report.
One student told police he was underage after the officer asked if the students had been drinking, police reported.
The other student told police he purchased the bottle for his friend from a local Fry’s Food Store, according to the report.
Both students were cited and released, police reported.
