ASU Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- Police are investigating a Monday night burglary on the 400 block of University Drive, according to a police report.
An unknown person or persons entered the Palo Verde West residence hall and took a male student’s PlayStation 3 with a movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” inside, police reported.
The student and his roommate were gone, according to the report.
The student told police he locked the door before leaving the dorm for 45 minutes, police reported.
There were no signs of forced entry into the dorm and no one was given access to the room, according to the report.
There are no suspects, leads or witnesses, police reported.
- An unknown person or persons stole a cell phone from the gym of the Vista del Sol residential complex Tuesday afternoon, according to a police report.
The phone, which belonged to a 19-year-old male student, was left in a cubby at the gym and is estimated to be worth $100, according to the report.
There is a surveillance camera in the area of the cubby but there are no known leads, suspects, or witnesses at this time, police reported.
Tempe Police reported the following incident Thursday:
- A 22-year-old man was arrested Tuesday at South Mill Avenue and West Curry Road for failing to provide proper identification, according to a police report.
At the time of the arrest, the man had no identification on him and no records could be found under the provided name, police reported.
The man was taken to Tempe City Jail where further investigation revealed his true identity, including an outstanding warrant, according to a report.
The man was rebooked on Wednesday under the correct name for the original charge, providing false information and the outstanding warrant, according to a report.
