Man arrested on suspicion of dangerous drug possession while driving with suspended license


Tempe police reported the following incidents Monday.

 

  • A 35-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Sept. 11 on the 1600 block of North Scottsdale Road on suspicion of dangerous drugs possession, according to a police report.Police pulled the man over after noticing he was driving on a suspended license, according to the report.

    An officer found a clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine in the ashtray during a routine car search, police reported.

    The man’s car was impounded because of his suspended license, according to the report.

    Officers brought the man to Tempe City Jail, where he was released pending drug charges, police reported.

  • An 18-year-old Mesa woman was arrested the night of Sept. 9 on the 700 block of West Emelita Avenue on suspicion of marijuana possession, according to a police report.Police initially stopped and arrested the woman for driving under the influence, according to the report.

    An officer found a small amount of a green leafy substance in the woman’s purse during a routine car search, police reported.

    The woman was brought to Tempe City Jail and released pending drug charges, according to the report.
