Photo Essay: National “Walk for the Children of Syria” in Tempe


Since March 2011, more than 30,000 people have died in Syria. On September 9, the Syrian-American Council organized a national “Walk for the Children of Syria.” More than a hundred people gathered on University Drive to show their support.  The Syrian- American council donated $5 for any person registered for the walk. About 130 people walked one-mile on University Drive to raise money for the cause.
