Police search for driver of SUV who damaged man’s skateboard


ASU Police reported the following incidents Monday:

  • Police are looking for a driver of a SUV who damaged a man’s skateboard Thursday at the 900 block of West McAllister Avenue, according to a police report.

    A 29-year-old Tempe man told police he was riding his skateboard toward the south exit of Tyler Street parking structure when a green Toyota SUV ran a stop sign and hit the rear of his skateboard, police report.

    The man described the driver as a white woman with light hair, according to the report.

    He was not able to see the license plate number after the driver drove west on Tyler Street and turned south on McAllister Avenue, police reported.

    There are no suspects and police estimate the damage of the skateboard to be $200, according to the report.
