ASU Police reported the following incidents Tuesday.
- A 22-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Tuesday on the 700 block of East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of trespassing, according to a police report.Police arrived at East Alpha Drive after receiving a call that two people were seen entering the fenced property, police reported.
The two students tried to leave the property through the east exit when police took out their tasers and told the students to get on the ground, according to the report.
The woman told police she and the male student went to the property to “make out,” and they did not plan to steal from the property, police reported.
Alpha Drive is currently undergoing construction and is considered a “no trespassing zone,” police reported.
The woman was cited and released, according to the report.
- An 18-year-old Tempe man and a 19-year-old Tempe man were arrested Wednesday on the 900 block of South Terrace Road on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a report.Community assistants called police to the Cholla Apartments after they smelled marijuana in one of the rooms, police reported.
Police knocked on the resident’s door and the student told police he was the only person living in the room, according to the report.
Four other students were in the room and told police they had smoked on the balcony before officers arrived, police reported.
Police searched the room and found a metal grinder, a lighter, a glass pipe with marijuana residue and a plastic bag of marijuana, according to the report.
The resident told police the items did not belong to him and indicated which of his friends had brought the items, police reported.
The two students who were suspected of bringing the paraphernalia and marijuana were taken to the ASU Police Station and received citations, according to the report.
