In response to Jacqueline Solis’s Oct. 17 article, “Political surrogate debate stresses ideals, not application.”
When I pulled out my bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label during last week's debate, I realized it was rude of me to celebrate the end of prohibition alone. Contrary to your reporting, my co-panelists didn't refuse to indulge — they each had emptied their cups by the end of the event. On the other hand, I was shocked to learn from the professor moderating that there is no alcohol consumed on campus, ever. Quite a feat, that.
