ASU Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
- A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday at South Rural Road and East Lemon Street on suspicion of obstructing a public thoroughfare, according to a police report.
Officers saw the man crossing the street against the crosswalk sign, forcing several cars to brake suddenly, according to the report.
The man said he was in a hurry because he had left his laptop unattended at Memorial Union, police reported.
Police had previously arrested the man in 2011 for obstructing a public thoroughfare, and he had been permanently banned from living in University residences, according to the report.
A large amount of cash was found in the man's coat pocket, police reported.
The man was handcuffed, cited and released, according to the report.
- A woman was cited March 13 at North Dobson Road and Bass Pro Drive on suspicion of reckless driving, according to a police report.
An officer in an unmarked police car was pulling away from the curb on Price Road when the woman passed him at a high rate of speed and proceeded to cut in front of him, police reported..
While the officer followed the woman for a quarter mile, she made two unsafe lane changes without signaling and a wide turn, according to the report.
The woman was talking on her cellphone and told the officer she was distracted, police reported.
She was stopped, cited and released, according to the report.
