Tempe Police reported the following incidents Sunday:

A 61-year-old Phoenix man was arrested Sept. 24 at South Mill Avenue and West Third Street on suspicion of possessing a weapon by a prohibited person and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, according to a police report.
Police were called to look for a man who was driving a champagne-colored taxi and had flashed a gun at someone near North Scottsdale Road and the Loop 202, the report said.
Police located the taxi as it was turning south onto Mill Avenue from Rio Salado Parkway, stopped the car and detained the man driving it, police said.
Officers asked the man while searching him if he had any weapons on him or in his vehicle, and the man told officers he had a gun in the car, police reported.
According to the report, when officers asked where the gun was, the man then denied having one.
Officers searched his car and found a black Springfield XD .40 caliber pistol with one bullet in the chamber underneath the seat where the man was sitting, according to the report.
Police reported that the man continued to deny having a weapon, and a background check revealed he had been convicted of multiple felonies in the past.
He was taken to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, the report said.

A 25-year-old Pinon, Ariz., man was arrested Sept. 20 on the 900 block of East Manhatton Drive on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools and being a fugitive from justice, according to a police report.The man was arrested after an investigation found he had entered a fenced backyard of a home on East Manhatton Drive, the report said.
He then entered the home through the garage and took a bottle of liquor from the kitchen freezer, a pair of sunglasses from a bedroom and a digital camera, according to police.
The investigation found he had a screwdriver and a set of Allen wrenches upon entering the home, police reported.
The man was later arrested for an outstanding warrant in Flagstaff, and officers found that he was in possession of the stolen liquor, sunglasses and camera.
He was taken to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked, according to the report.
