ASU football never let up after building a 29-7 halftime lead, trouncing No. 20 Washington 53-24 at Sun Devil Stadium.
The Huskies (4-3, 1-3 Pac-12) finally broke through on the opening drive of the second half when redshirt senior quarterback Keith Price connected with senior receiver Kevin Smith on a 70-yard touchdown on third and 16 to bring the deficit to 29-14.
Redshirt junior quarterback Taylor Kelly and the Sun Devils (5-2, 3-1) responded on their first drive of the half.
After an unnecessary roughing penalty extended the drive, Kelly busted out for a 36-yard run to the Huskies' one-yard line, then scored on a keeper two plays later to make it 36-14 Sun Devils.
The Huskies kept their offense rolling on the following possession, driving 12 plays and 42 yards, but had to settle for a 27-yard field goal from senior kicker Travis Coons.
The Sun Devils responded with their own 11-play drive and field goal on their next drive as freshman kicker Zane Gonzalez hit his fourth of the game, this one from 21 yards, to extend the lead to 39-17.
The Huskies went three-and-out on their next drive and the Sun Devils responded according, extending the lead to four scores.
Senior Marion Grice finished off a five-play drive with a one-yard touchdown run, his 17th total touchdown of the season, to give the Sun Devils a 46-17 lead.
Price and the Huskies came back with a touchdown drive of their own on their next possession.
Price hooked up with junior All-American tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins for a 20-yard touchdown to cap a three-play drive and make it 46-24 Sun Devils.
The teams traded three-and-outs before Grice put the game out of reach once and for all.
Grice capped off a 10-play, 73-yard drive with a 14-yard touchdown run, his second of the game, to make it 53-24 Sun Devils.
